The old post fixture that came with my 1920s-era house finally died. I bought this one to replace it at the same time I replaced matching 2 wall fixtures (from the same line) flanking my front door. They all look great and rejuvenated the appearance of the house from curbside and front walk. The vintage style suits my house perfectly. They are heavy duty and appear well made. The water-seeded glass has sufficient texture that it doesn't show smudges and minor dirt, so cleaning will me minimal. Even the electrician doing the installation commented on how nice looking and classy the fixtures were. The post light was pricy, compared to the matching wall fixtures, but if it's as well made as it appears, I won't be buying another for many, many years.
