Very easy to install with perfect lightingThe mounting mechanism leaves the light fixture a bit loose. It's not going to fall off, but it is not held tightly to the wall. Maybe I could bend the bracket a bit to create a snugger fit. Bought 3 and they were all like this.The wires provided are short but lights work as described. Love the way it can work with 12 volts AC or DC. Currently using this for my barn entry and is paired up with a 12 volt dusk/dawn sensor.These are very solid quality folks, I was very impressed. I actually thought these were going to be plastic but they were all metal! And they came with stainless steel screws, and a template. Each light came with about an 18 inch piece of wire on it so if you needed that much you have it. These all solidly made, everyone worked perfectly. I used the Menards power supply, the 14/2 wire and the Menards connectors they sell. These are just perfect and I am letting everyone know, these are very worth the price for longevity. I bought a 6 pack and 2 singles as I needed 8 lights total. They are 2.5 watts which is just enough to lightly illuminate the step or as i have them mounted to light up a column of blocks with a cap on it that is 40 inches high. Great for decks, retaining walls, anything really. The light is meant to cast a low light in the downward direction, so to light up a step, you would put these to the side and high up as you can fit them. Or up a pillar toward the top of it and shining down, so I ran my wire up through the middle of the blocks and out the side. I drilled a hole into the block with a concrete mason bit and then added a plastic anchor, and then screwed in the screws to attach the removable bracket from the light. Then you screw the light to the bracket. It worked perfect and solid. There is even enough room for the wire nuts to fit in the cavity behind the light.Beautiful product. Hefty is a good word. First one I got had an issue and they sent a new one immediately. Excellent customer service!it doesnt tell you the bulb cant be changed it doesnt tell you you have to drill all the way thru your 4x4 and its got only about a foot of wire.........update never thought i would say the lights or almost to bright for my walkway but they really work good glad i got themI was very pleased with the lights. Good aluminum casting to withstand weather and sun. I like the illumination as it is a soft color for LED. Meets my needs for the deck steps. Ease of installation. The supplier's original date of receiving the shipment was almost 6 weeks as it was coming from China. My assumption was it was in a big container on a ship. A previous experience of a shipment in a container was not good. According to a supplier the container was lost overboard during a storm. Arrownine parcel shipped my product and it arrived in less than half the original date.Good lights for the money.I used these lights for a pathway to my fire pit which is about 100 yards from the house through the trees and very dark. I’m very happy with the amount and type of light they give off as it’s enough to see where you’re going but not too bright to distract from the ambiance of night. Just what I was looking for. I mounted them on 4x4 posts about 2 feet off the ground as shown. As you can see I drilled a hole in the post for the wire and ran it down the back to connect to the main wire underground. My only criticism of this product is that the attached wire is only about 18 inches long so in my case would not reach the ground. I ended up cutting the wire off close to the light and splicing on a longer wire. I put the splice close to the light so that it would be hidden inside the drilled hole. A major pain and added a lot of time to the install. Overall I love the finished project but if the manufacturer is reading this, please consider making the wire about a foot longer.These lights are beautiful but there is a problem that has been huge in replacing my old halogen lights with these. After installing & a hour after the lights are on, the lights strobe ( not a feature) I have narrowed down the problem to be that my existing 12V transformer is not compatable with these LED lights. It has been a major hunt to find a new transformer that will work with the LED lights. All the stores in my area seem to be out. Would b much easier if the supplier offered a compatable 12 volt transformer with these lights. This has turend out to be a much bigger project than anticipated.I installed this light just outside a deck door where you have to step up to get on the deck, I illuminates the whole doorway so people will notice the step. It has been over a year now and it hasn't given me a problem.I got 4 of this lights to use them under the gazebo. They are so nice that I’ll re-order them for the next project when we build a large deck with stairs around.Definitely recommend them.Fairly bright and all light is directed downwards so light pollution is minimized.Best solution if you want area lighted versus fence post top lights which just put light into your eyes.
